HOW IT WORKS

01

Scan the whole market

Every day we pull moneyline, totals and handicap prices for football, tennis, US sports, MMA and prediction markets from 15+ bookmakers — Pinnacle, Betfair, Betsson, William Hill, Coral and more.

02

Price it against the sharpest line

We anchor to Pinnacle — the book that takes sharp money — strip the vig with the Shin method and get a true probability. Every other price on the market is compared against that fair line.

03

Add a second, independent opinion

Only discrepancies above your threshold reach the terminal — value, arbitrage, +EV combos and prediction-market gaps — each with a position-size calculation. Alongside them, Match AI reads the same fixture from a different direction: a Dixon‑Coles goal model built on historical scorelines, with no knowledge of the odds at all.

When the market and the model agree, that is one kind of information. When they disagree, that is another — and both are more useful than a number on its own. Every prediction is scored against the actual result with the Brier score, and every flagged signal is measured against the closing line.

THE INTELLIGENCE LAYER

Finding the discrepancy is the easy part. Knowing which ones to trust is the product.

A raw list of mispriced markets is noise. Every signal in MetricMatch is scored, ranked, explained and put in context before it reaches you.

RISK SCORE

Every signal scored 0‑100

Named rules, not a black box: is there a sharp anchor, how many books quote it, how wide is the spread, how old is the price, how long until kickoff. A thin 16% discrepancy quoted by two books ranks below a clean 5% edge — because it usually should.

EXPLAINED

A sentence, not a score

Each opportunity comes with plain language: what fair value is, how many bookmakers quote the outcome, which way the price has moved, how long you have — and the strongest argument against taking it.

MARKET PULSE

Steam detection

Dense pre-match sampling measures how fast implied probability is moving and in which direction. Sharp movement (the anchor moved) is separated from soft drift, and noise that swings back and forth is filtered out.

PORTFOLIO

Your total exposure, not just one bet

Aggregate stake across every open signal, correlated positions on the same event, the worst simultaneous outcome and a suggested scaling factor when you are over-committed. Mutually exclusive outcomes cannot all lose — the maths reflects that.

MATCH AI

An independent goal model

A Dixon‑Coles model estimates attack and defence strength from historical scorelines and produces its own 1X2, over/under and both‑teams‑to‑score probabilities — a second opinion next to the market, scored against results with the Brier score.

TEAM NEWS

Context the odds have not priced yet

News from multiple public sources, classified into injuries, suspensions, doubts, returns and managerial changes. Fresh hard news raises the risk score of any affected signal, because a price can be stale for a reason.

LINEUPS

Confirmed starting elevens

Team sheets are captured shortly before kickoff, when they are actually published — the window where a market most often misprices, and the one a once‑a‑day scan always misses.

TELEGRAM

The terminal in your pocket

A companion bot in 10 languages: value signals, model tips, best prices, arbitrage and market movement on demand, ranked exactly as the terminal ranks them, with every list ordered by kickoff time.

What MetricMatch is, precisely. An analytics platform. It measures prices, quantifies discrepancies against a fair line, models fixtures independently and records how those readings held up. It does not accept stakes, place bets, hold funds or tell anyone what to do with the output. Nothing here is financial, investment or betting advice, and no result is predictable in advance. Analysis is a tool for making a decision, not a substitute for making one. 18+.

GLOSSARY

The vocabulary the terminal is built on.

No jargon without a definition. These are the concepts behind every number MetricMatch shows you.

VALUE BET
A wager where the bookmaker's price is higher than the true probability implies. Value is measured, not felt: it is the percentage gap between the offered price and a de-vigged fair price.
FAIR ODDS
The price that reflects an outcome's true probability once the bookmaker's margin is removed. Every edge calculation is a comparison against fair odds.
VIG / OVERROUND
The bookmaker's built-in margin. Implied probabilities across all outcomes sum to more than 100%; the excess is the vig, and it must be stripped before any price can be judged fair.
DE-VIGGING (SHIN)
Removing that margin on the assumption that part of it protects the book against better-informed bettors. It spreads the margin unevenly across outcomes, which is more accurate for longshots than simple proportional normalisation.
SHARP BOOK
A bookmaker that accepts large bets from winning customers and moves its line instead of limiting them. Its price carries information — which is why it serves as the anchor for fair value.
CLOSING LINE VALUE
The gap between the price you took and the market's final price before the event starts. Consistently beating the closing line is the most widely accepted evidence that a selection method carries real information.
STEAM MOVE
A rapid, one-directional price move across multiple bookmakers, usually triggered by sharp money. Detecting it requires dense sampling — a single daily snapshot cannot measure velocity.
EXPECTED VALUE (EV)
The average result of a bet repeated indefinitely, given a probability estimate. Positive EV means the price is better than the estimated probability warrants.
ARBITRAGE (SUREBET)
A set of prices across different bookmakers where backing every outcome returns at least the total staked, whatever the result. Rare, short-lived and entirely dependent on execution speed.
KELLY CRITERION
A staking formula that sizes each bet in proportion to the estimated edge and the odds. Practitioners use a fraction of full Kelly to reduce swings; MetricMatch suggests quarter Kelly with a hard cap.
BRIER SCORE
A measure of how closely probability forecasts match reality — lower is better. It is how a model gets checked against the market instead of against intuition.
MARKET DEPTH
How many independent bookmakers quote an outcome, and how far apart their prices are. A large discrepancy quoted by two books is far weaker evidence than a small one quoted by twelve.
DIXON-COLES MODEL
A football model that estimates attack and defence strength from historical scorelines and corrects the known distortion in low-scoring results, producing independent 1X2, over/under and both-teams-to-score probabilities.
PREDICTION MARKET
An exchange where contracts settle on real-world outcomes, so the price is the crowd's probability. When it diverges from the sportsbook fair line, one of the two is wrong — and that gap is measurable.
